Yoga for Climbers

We utilize yoga and its many benefits to enhance your climbing practice. Through a curated blend of asanas (postures), pranayama (breath work), and mindfulness techniques (meditation), we will cultivate the strength, flexibility, and mental clarity essential for climbing success, using postures that complement the parts of our body we over-work climbing. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned climber, expect to enhance your core stability, shoulder strength, and hip mobility, while also sharpening your focus and preventing injuries. Dynamic Flow Yoga

LEVEL: Beginner to Advanced

In this playful flow, you’ll be led through a vibrant, fluid practice linking movement to breath with unexpected transitions, creative sequences, and a funky twist on traditional asanas. Each class is different and will prepare you to expect the unexpected while staying focused in the present. Be ready to get sweaty, be challenged, relieve stress and have fun!

In this 60 minute class you will do a few mindful yoga movements which will set you up for a rejuvenating science, sleep-based meditation practice through the “I Am” Yoga Nidra method which will be intentionally crafted to reset your bodies natural healing response for a mid-week pick me up!

45 Minute Guided Meditation

MAY: Mediation for Transformation and Renewal

What does it mean to take time out to renew ourselves? Many of us don’t prioritize our own self-care; therefore, we never really take time to unplug, reconnect and renew. Life’s pressure and busy pace make it easy to get stuck in old habits and repetitive routines. These cycles make it hard to break emotional triggers, and the egos need to rehash past mistakes, regrets and hurts.

Prioritizing self-care and self-renewal will make us feel more joyful, loving, energetic and light. It will bring us back to the way nature always intended for us to feel. Self-renewal will energize and expand our minds, bring balance and harmony to our emotions and bring about a deep sense of peace and wellbeing to our whole being.

The goal of this month’s meditation is to renew your mind, body and spirit by reconnecting with your breath, body and sense of whole being.

In this 45 minute class, Joanna will lead you through meditations which will include guided visualizations, yoga nidra, singing bowl meditations and Reiki. This is the perfect opportunity to carve out time just for yourself, get away from everyday stressors, and quiet the mind and body. Open to all levels.

LEVEL: Beginner to Advanced
This all-levels heated yoga class is accessible to everyone, beginners to experienced students alike. Set to music in a room heated up to 105 degrees—come prepare to SWEAT. This sequenced class uses functional commands to direct students in and out of postures, blending the elements of true Hatha yoga and Ashtanga-inspired vinyasa power flow. Connect breath with movement, build strength, improve balance, increase flexibility, and still your monkey mind. This class is a journey you can take to improve yourself physically and mentally. Class is 60 minutes.

Align & Center Yoga

This class is for everybody and every body! All levels welcome.

A slow-paced practice guided via descriptive cues with an emphasis on alignment and mindfulness. This class encourages students to meet themselves wherever they are physically, mentally and spiritually. Always practicing leaving judgement of self behind, focusing on correct alignment and using breath to dive deeper. Students will be invited to listen to their own bodies and experience themselves as experts, while learning from the teacher’s alignment and mindfulness cues.

Like a rock climbing route, every class is different. Each class focuses on breaking down and preparing for one pose with a different intention woven throughout for a fresh experience each time. As you align and center your physical, mental, and energetic bodies via your breath, you’ll be invited to find kindness towards yourself and your personal unique journey. Yoga Beta Building Blocks: MAY= Bound MARICHYASANA

MAY: Bound Marichyasana- Sage Pose

Each month we will work our way up to an intermediate or advanced asana. To prepare us for the challenge, we will take small strategic steps to build into the posture of focus for that month.. Hands-on assists and adjustments will be offered. All levels are welcome. Everyone will leave feeling confident and equipped to breathe through tough poses, climbs, and all challenges life has to offer.

This posture has many fun variations. We will fold, twist, bind and breathe. You might feel a little like a pretzel at first but when we breathe into the posture the tension will unravel. We will use our inhalation to create length and the exhalations to find depth. While this posture may have a stimulating effect, it also helps to calm and slow the brain. We will feel the deep stretching in the spine and shoulder while activating the core.The cleansing the twists offer are undeniably a favorite.

Healing Enhanced Flow

Whether you spend your days typing or climbing, this therapeutic flow will release knots and tension in your body while clearing your mind. This class promotes core strength and flexibility and uses healing alignment for postural integrity. Build focus and increase relaxation with strength based restoration. This practice uses the body and breath to center and feel renewed head to toe with fundamental postures and fun variations with special healing focus. Revitalize from the inside out!

Ascend Yin

YIN is the perfect complement to a busy Yang life. Slow down and focus on the connective tissues in your body as you tap into and reset your body’s stress response. In this 60 minute class, you will reconnect with your body’s innate ability to heal. In each class, you will focus on only 6-7 poses which be held for longer periods of time, typically 3-5 minutes each. Class will end with a guided meditation and Savasana where you will relax and reward yourself with non-judgmental introspection and silence. This practice is slower paced and props will be used. Target and alleviate tightness in deep connective tissue, ligaments, and joints.

Heated Vinyasa Flow

LEVEL: Beginner to advanced.
Strengthen and nourish both body and mind by linking breath with movement in this Vinyasa class consisting of basic to intermediate postures sequenced at a moderate pace. Suitable for all levels, and modifications will be offered for beginner students. Room will be warmed up to 90 degrees.
